File TypeMac OS X Disk Image
I use a Mac, so downloaded the uTorrent-Mac-13906.dmg. When I double click on the dmg file, it begins to open, but I get a Warning box saying Disk image failed to mount.; reason, no mountable file systems. Is there something I did wrong, or something I should be doing to get the app to mount? Sometimes, the system won't see it as a block device. For example, a dmg on a friend's machine, copied to my machine, shows as VAX COFF executable not stripped - version 376 Ok, after loooking at that page, it came back to me, and I just tested it. If it's a dmg that is a block type device, that is if file dmg shows. The disk will not mount from Disk Utility either (nor does attempting to verify or repair it from there have any effect). I've also tried re-downloading this image several times using several different programs. I recently updated to 10.5.8 in case that's relevant. Here's a paste of what I get when I try to mount the DMG from the command line.

What is a DMG file?
A DMG file is a mountable disk image created in macOS. It contains raw block data typically compressed and sometimes encrypted. DMG files are commonly used for macOS software installers that are downloaded from the Internet, which mount a virtual disk on the desktop when opened.
The DMG format replaces the older .IMG file format used in Mac OS Classic. DMG disk images can be opened using the Apple Disk Utility that is bundled with macOS on Apple computers.
DMG files are Mac-specific and are not intended for use in Windows. However, Windows Daemon Tools may be able to mount virtual drives from some DMG image files. Other utilities may also be able to convert DMG files to a format that can be recognized by Windows.

Folks, I'm curious if anyone has seen a similar issue installing beta 1 of High Sierra. I have a rMBP, early 2013. The installer begins to run and notes that a specific amount of time is left, in my case between 34 and 35 minutes. After maybe 3-4 minutes of this, it will then state that it is 'calculating the amount of time remaining' and do this for maybe 10 minutes at which point the installer window states that it can't install the software and the error message is OSStatus 2 (which I thought was a time machine error). The logs state that it is unable to mount one of the images for install (InstallESD.dmg). I tried a repair on the SSD. The DMG highlighted below is definitely there. Repairing the SSD actually fails, not sure why. I can reinstall Sierra but I haven't actually done a rebuild of the disk and then a reinstall. Maybe I should try that but wanted to know if anyone had insight.
